There's something special about photographing a couple in a place that already belongs to them. S&A invited me to their family camp for their engagement session, and it was full of the little details that made it feel like home: the porch, the fun nicknacks, the light through the trees. We captured plenty of laughing, leaning in, and quiet moments in between.
Then we crossed the road to the lake, and the day got even better. The sky was clear, the water was calm, and the light was soft and golden. Some of my favorite frames from the whole summer came from that stretch of shoreline.
